Truman and Alexander Temple both served in the Civil War in the 120th NY Vols. out of Kingston, NY. Both men survived the war, but Truman [he was promoted to a Corporal and then a Sergeant] was wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg, and was later captured at Hatcher's Run, VA and held as a prisoner of war in Andersonville Prison until he was finally "released in a prisoner exchange". I have the National Archive Pension papers on both men which gave me additional family information. [You show both men as being born in "Olive Branch, NY." This is probably correct, however within their pension papers both men show [on different papers] references to being born in "Beaverkill, NY", also to being born in "Hurley, NY". I believe "Beaverkill" may have been the name of a road in Olive Branch, NY, and "Hurley" is where they lived when they enlisted].
