He appeared in the census in 1856 in Osage, Mitchell, IA.<a href="sources.htm#64674" class="lnk">64674</a> Albert died in 1858 at the age of 50 in IA.<a href="sources.htm#64676" class="lnk">64676</a> Buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Knapp, WI. Find-a-Grave said he was also buried in Tucker Cemetery, Osage, IA, but without a stone there. Cecilia Barger, a descendant of Edwin Rollin Temple, provided the following insight on the Temple Cemetery: "The Temple Cemetery cemetery in Mitchell county that was originally on Temple land is now called Tucker cemetery. Mercy Temple is buried there and although back in those days they did not report burials and such and no known newspaper articles are known to exist - I believe Albert, and Ebenezer Temple Jr. are buried here.<p>"Note - the Temple cemetery that is on the plot of land that was the Temple families from 1855-1897 was called the Temple cemetery. On the surveyors map it is indicated as so dated 1875. This would mean that the family would have actively buried those who dwelled on the land who were of the family. It wasn't until 1898 that the land was foreclosed and went to another - possibly T.E. Tucker who was a good friend of Albert Temple and had land adjacen to him. This would also indicate the name of the cemetery going under Tucker Cemetery. Most burials were not reported therefore it would not be listed in any cemetery transcription log or books done by the genealogical society. There are no actual newspaper obits for Albert or Ebenezer and Stone was most likely provided by son for Mercy." He has reference number RLT # 25Fii.<a href="sources.htm#33986" class="lnk">33986</a> His parentage is based on where his children, or a large number of them, arrived. After traveling through OH, IA, WI and ND, they ended up in Washington Territory. There, within a few doors of each other by 1900, we find Edward R. Temple and his family, George Cummings and two of the sisters of James F. Temple (Almira and Mary), who was also present with his family. The real problem is determining which Ebenezer was Albert's father, as he falls between generations. Ebenezer b 1786 ME, who later married Mary/Mercy Temple, is probably his father. I say this because Ebenezer's age at marriage to Mary was quite advanced for the day - he was 33, and already in OH. I think he had an earlier wife, whom he would have married in about 1805 or 1806, about in time to be Albert's father. If Albert were the son of the elder Ebenezer, however, the elder would have been quite old and Albert would have been at the tag end of the family. I believe that is less likely. All of this is circumstantial evidence, but the close and continued proximity of the family once they arrived in WA indicates a close affinity. They all also were very hard to track, but can be tracked based on the birth places of their several children.<p>Some sources put his parentage as John Isaac and Aurelia Temple.
