I think this is really the family of James H. Belsches and his wife, Thurina. Their daughter, Theodora, married Joel M. Temple. The surname is so unusual, as is Thurina's given name, that there must be some connection. Thurina appears as Thurina Temple in 1870. That would mean that she had to have married some Temple before 1842, but not before 1841, which was when Theodora was born as the daughter of James Belsches. This might mean Virginia was not really a Temple but adopted by whomever it was that Thurina married, and that Virginia's birth name was Belsches.
