Her husband ran a sawmill and Florence drove out to see him. They quarreled over another woman, who was at the mill and had caused a breach between Charles and Florence. Charles threw Florence down and choked her whe a black woman interferred and brought Florence back to town. Florence wrote a note to Chrles, requesting him to take care of her children and give her a decen burial. She was dead in fifteen or twenty minutes. Charles Temple was tried by the city mayor and put under a $500 bond. The rest of that story is unknown. Her parents were from MD (father) and WV (mother).
