Pete reported Sherri's information as follows:<p>"She sent the following photocopies:<p>"A certificate for Bellefontaine Cemetery with the name of the deceased, Elizabeth Ann Tempel, Date of Death, July 4 1849, Age 42 years, Disease, Removal from (illegible) Presbyterian Cemetery.<p>"An index card showing that Temple, Elizabeth A. was interred at Bellefontaine on July 20, 1860, Lot Number 405, Block Number 68.<p>"A photograph of of a grave marker with the inscription: Elizabeth Ann, Wife of Dr. John T. Temple, 1807 July 24, 1849, Daughter of Rev. Wm. Staughton."<p>Pete added "The Bellefontaine web site says the incorporation of the association was in 1849 but the first interment there was not until 27 April, 1850 which I suppose explains why Elizabeth was located elsewhere. In any case her death date explains why Dr. John felt the need to go off to California for a year or two and re-marry after returning." She was obviously reinterred in Bellefontaine from some other temporary location, and along the way, a 2 crept into the front of her death date.<p> She did not appear in the 1860 census.
