William & Judith, and David and Sarah (Pinckney) Phippen. The latter have in their favor that they emigrated to Boston. However, the records show two wives (both Sarah), repeating all children except Judith, who shows up only under Sarah Pinckney. Also, at the time Sarah was to be
having Judith in London, she was also having another child, Robert, in Weymouth, Dorsetshire, England, where all her other 6 children born in England were. In favor of William is the presence of the family name. We know a Judith Phippen was born in Wedmore, Somersetshire abt 1595, making her three years junior to William, and most probably his sister. Records show that William married a Judith Phippen - whether
this was his sister or not cannot be determined at present. This may be why Judith is listed as being born in Stepney Parish in London. Also, she was not having children elsewhere in England at the time of Judith's birth in London. Presence of the name commonly led to offspring of the same name. The likelihood is stronger that the William & Judith Phippen are the parents of Judith, wife of William Symonds.

Spouse: Judith PHIPPEN-426.
