The discrepancy seems inexplicable, but they are clearly the same person based on identical names, birth dates, locations and married names.  There seems to be an explanation in her Social Security files.  Curiously, there was some change to her Social Security file on 16 Sep 1977, listing her name as Julia Phillips Temple.  Coming 24 years after her death, it seems someone screwed up her death date.<br>She died in Carter Moore Hospital of diverticulitis after having been confined there for about a year.<br>Buried in Greenlawn and Shady Rest Cemetery, Franklin, KY.  Her parents were from TN (father) and KY (mother), except in 1920 when they were both from KY.  It would seem she is the daughter of Thomas and Fanny Rogers of Grayson Co., KY.  However her son Robert's obituary said her name was Julia Phillips Temple.  That led the Find-A-Grave memorial for her to say her maiden name was Phillips, and her parents, therefore, Robert and Ruth (Potter) Phillips.  While the first alternative doesn't explain the Phillips surname, the second does not address the Rogers surname.
