Her death certificate said her maiden name was Gravitt, and was informed by her stepson. The association with Carrie Brooks as Carrie May Brooks in death records is based on Find-A-Grave, which omits the death certificate's claim she was born in VA,not PA, and so were her parents. A marriage certificate tying Carrie May Brooks to the dates and maiden name is required for proof. Based on cemetery iformation, inclding plot sharing, she may be misidentified and was instead Carrie, wife of Eugene Brooks (1875-1931).<br>Not found as a Parrott or Gravitt in 1880.
