The wife of the late Arthur Rovner who died in 1992, she was born in Norfolk, VA and was the daughter of the late Abe Kaminsky and the late Mary Weiner. Following graduation from high school, she attended college in Virginia. Her husband owned and managed Rovner’s Department Store in Bridgeton until his retirement in 1974. They then moved to Florida. Mrs. Rovner was involved in many charitable causes. She was long time member of Congregation Beth Abraham, and served as President of the Beth Abraham Sisterhood and was a Life Member of Hadassah. She is survived by two children, Jerome Rovner and his wife Ruth of Bridgeton and Nancy Abramson and her husband Alan of Naples, FL, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one sister Beverly Rizika and her husband Dr. Stuart Rizika of Baltimore, MD. A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Beth Abraham Memorial Park, Vineland Avenue in Rosenhayn with Rabbi Alfredo Winter of Congregation Beth Israel in Vineland officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Mrs. Rovner’s memory to Heartland Hospice, 4 East Rolling Crossroads, Baltimore, MD 21228 or to the charity of one’s choice.
