Update – August 11, 2005
“Justice at What Price”

I intentionally left this update untitled in my last update on August 3, 2005
for several reasons; among them being I expected to have heard back from Jack
McCarthy, Senior member of the Office of the Inspector General, Commonwealth
of Massachusetts and David Murray, Office of the Director, Consumer Affairs
& Business Regulations, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

I guess, being the incurable optimist I am, I just expected that the truth
and the facts as I have presented them to validate the theory of a “colossal
conspiracy” by individuals and State entities to the aforementioned regulatory
agencies within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts would yield a timely response
to me and my attorneys.

In the past 21 months the lies have traveled half way around the world, while
the truth is still waiting to be heard! The Funeral Monitor, a super market
tabloid if there ever was one, has taken a stance influenced by a prominent
individual, I can only name as “deep throat” at this juncture. When
this person’s identity is released, you will get a much clearer idea of
the ways and means of a desperate, yet professional, character assassin.

The subject to be addressed in this update is that of “PRIDE”

“Pride” begins with a “vision” –
“an image that is strong and right makes you feel good about yourself
and all you do to reach out to help others as you do your best”

I believe “Pride” drives our elected state officials.
I believe Governor Romney as does Attorney General Reilly take great pride in
their every day actions, activities, and accomplishments in their respective
roles in the state offices they were elected to by the citizens of the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts. I believe they each would frown upon and outwardly condemn
actions by appointed State personnel that would jeopardize the trust and compromise
the pride they have for the many honorable, dedicated, and truly committed civil
servants working in the state government of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

On June 29, 2004, Ms. Kathy Cartmell-Sirrico, acting Chairman, State Board
of Registration of Funeral Directors and Embalmers, issued to me a Letter to
Show Cause. In the Letter to Show Cause, were numerous accusations of fact (or
supposed fact) as a result of a thorough investigation (or supposed thorough
investigation) by Mr. John Bresnahan, investigator for the State Board. I had
21 days to request a hearing in this matter or else the State Board would accept
my non response as an admission of guilt in the matter. I responded through
counsel for a hearing within the designated timeframe. Fourteen (14) months
have now passed and NO hearing has taken place. WHY, YOU ASK?

I suggest to you, “It is the ‘Fear’ of being held
accountable for one’s actions by a whole host of co-conspirators, many
appointed to serve in the capacity of the public trust.”

The frivolous statements of supposed fact in Ms. Cartmell-Sirrico’s Letter
to Show Cause have NO BASIS IN FACT and the conjured up accusations have their
foundation in blatant lies by funeral directors and the former Chairman, Board
of Registration of Funeral Directors and Embalmers – all located in Central
Massachusetts. The hardship and imposition that has faced many families as a
result of the loss of a loved one and being thrust into a situation wherein
they had to seek out a new relationship in order to bury their loved one, is
beyond my comprehension. I cannot fathom how those directly and indirectly involved
in the lies and corruption “I am prepared to prove – given the opportunity”
can live one day of their lives - let alone the rest of their lives.

The lack of “Pride” in oneself and the
lack of “honor” in standing for the truth
– even if it hurts – is the essence of the issues of which I reference.

Time Has Now Come For “ACCOUNTABILITY!” I cannot
and I will not settle for anything less. The truth is “screaming to be
heard” and the families unjustly brought into this conspiracy by funeral
directors with ulterior motives and endorsed and encouraged by members of the
State Board of Registration for Funeral Directors and Embalmers, are outraged
by the accusations and allegations made, and “demand” to be heard.

I call upon Governor Romney to get personally involved.

I call upon Attorney General Reilly to get personally involved.

For we can not now or ever allow anyone to compromise the integrity, honor,
and pride we all must have in those who are elected or selected to serve and
represent the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
