<p>As I happened to watch the Christmas Eve performance of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I listened to a beautiful rendition of the 23rd Psalm and couldn�t help but wonder if the perpetrators of the conspiracy and corruption of the past 4+ years had any chance once their hearts stopped beating of <em>dwelling in the House of the Lord Forever</em>. I wondered as I have in the past just where the former Chairperson of the State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers (John J. Kazlauskas) now dwelled since his passing and where would Ms. Cartmell-Siricco, Mr. Mazur, Mr. Barile, and Ms. McCarthy dwell when their earthly journey was to end?  Would their souls and the souls of those referenced in previous updates be so scared that entrance into the Heavenly Kingdom for the faithful would immediately rule out any possibility for each of them. Quite frankly, I do not see any hope for salvation in the Good Lord�s Home for any of the aforementioned Board members of 2003, and I suspect the same fate certainly awaits the current 2007 Board.</p>
<p>On December 4, 2007 I forwarded the following letters to the Massachusetts Funeral Director�s Association and to Mr. Tracy Mitchell requesting clarification of the process whereby Mr. Mitchell, owner of Funeral Homes in Medfield and Millis, was selected to be an expert witness for the prosecution in matters initiated against me by Mrs. Katherine Mangsen, Nordgren Memorial Chapel in Worcester.</p>

<p>Please provide any and all information related to the involvement and/ or role played by the MFDA, its Board of Directors and Advisors, its staff and any others in the selection, recommendation, and / or referral of Mr. Tracy Mitchell, funeral home owner in Medfield and Millis, to serve as an expert witness for the prosecution in allegations, accusations, and complaints filed against Philip G. Haddad, Jr. in 2003 and 2004 with the State Board of Registration of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.</p>

<p>On December 19, 2007, Ms. Anne Roan, President of the Massachusetts Funeral Director�s Association (MFDA) responded stating and I quote, <em><strong>�The Association, it�s Board and Advisory and staff had NO role in the selection, recommendation, or referral of Mr. Mitchell�</strong></em> in the case you have identified.</p>
<p>I have yet to receive a response from Mr. Mitchell, although Mr. Mitchell was selected as the prosecution�s expert witness without ever having had his pre-need funeral arrangements reviewed by the Board Inspector and without any experience with funding pre-need funeral arrangements through insurance (statements made under oath during testimony by both Mr. Mitchell and Inspector Bresnahan). </p>
<p>On Wednesday, December 26, 2007 I received the following unopened envelope properly addressed to Mr. Tracy Mitchell delivered to my residence by the U.S Postal Service from Mr. Mitchell with the words printed �Return to Sender�. </p>

<p>Apparently Mr. Mitchell has either something to hide or is incapable of presenting the true facts in my quest for the truth. I suspect it will be necessary to subpoena Mr. Mitchell at the appropriate time to answer to that which he is so ashamed or fearful to do at this time. When (and if) Mr. Mitchell provides a response to my letter to him dated December 4, 2007, I shall publish his response herein for the record and your information. (Mr. Mitchell�s attempts to hide from the truth must really make you proud to be a funeral director in Massachusetts. Just maybe the AARP has it right when it takes the funeral industry to task in its most recent issue of the AARP Magazine).</p>
<p>A few days ago, I received the annual religious Orthodox calendar from the parish of my forefathers and the parish wherein I too grew up, was an altar boy, sang in the choir, and served on its Board and various committees over the years. You will note that I said former, as I resigned membership in the Parish of St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester. The calendars referred to are the same ones provided to the parishioners of St. George Orthodox Cathedral as a result of my employment at Caswell-King Funeral Home (1981-1993) and Nordgren Memorial Chapel (1994-2003).</p>
<p>As a result of the Parish Priest at St. George Orthodox Cathedral�s inability to distinguish between �the truth� and �not wishing to take sides� accompanied by Mr. Kevin Mercadante, Mercadante Funeral Home, in Worcester inaccurate, distorted, and maligned statements to Inspector (Investigator) Bresnahan (not documented as one would expect from an investigator), Mr. Mercadante seized the moment to influence through his devious means the appropriate personnel at St. George Orthodox Cathedral and became the Orthodox calendar benefactor to St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester.</p>
<p>So it would appear from Mr. Mercadante�s statements and actions that <em>�crimes of greed�</em> do pay dividends in a ruthless business.  I would suggest to you that the dividends are superficial and are short-lived � and that in actuality the $ (dollar) dividends are a curse that shall follow one from this life into eternity � and I suspect � <strong>NOT</strong> <em>in the House of the Lord Forever</em>.</p>
<p>I shall take a moment to share with you a �real, true-life� story about a man who one would consider a ruthless business man, not always honorable in his dealing, and yet financially well healed. As his health began to fail and he began to face his mortality (realizing he was not going to get out of this life alive), he contacted me to discuss what he wanted for funeral arrangements when his time came, or so I thought. What he truly wanted was advice and counsel as to was it too late to make amends for his ill ways of the past? Not in a position to speak with certainty, I openly shared my inner thoughts and beliefs with the man, and suggested he speak with his clergyperson. His response was, �I can�t do that.� For just over three (3) years � the time that remained before his passing � this man gave away the bulk of his wealth to various charities and needy causes. He would ask me to come by and have coffee with him several times during this three year period, hoping I would understand and provide him with some comfort in his last days. I witnessed this man living each and every day of the last three years of his life in hell wondering if this was to be his final fate.</p>
<p>Two weeks before this gentleman passed away, he called and asked me to stop by. I shall never forget (and neither should you) my last conversation with this man. He said, �At the moment it seemed O.K., but in the end none of it was worth it � all the harm, pain, and deceit was like a cancer that ravaged my body and I didn�t know it until now�. This man was a sick man. He didn�t know it until the end came near. The public�s perception was this man, ruthless as he was, was a successful businessman. Yet, the Good Lord was watching the whole time.</p>
<p>Did he make it to heaven? I do not know. I have my doubts, and yet have my prayers that hopefully he did. </p>
<p>I often think of Mr. Mercadante (Kevin Mercadante) and of his statements and actions. I honestly wonder how he sleeps at night knowing his less than honorable statements and actions deliberately undercut the truth � and yet he used this �motif operandi� to perpetuate his business. How many other funeral directors and funeral homes in Central Massachusetts will suffer a similar fate at the hands of Mr. Mercadante in the future?</p>
<p>It is not my intent to single out anyone, for Mrs. Mangsen and Mr. Johnson apparently were quite convincing in selling a pattern of lies and distortions to �hungry lions� � where their source of food made no difference. What the hungry lions did not see or foresee was the food source was supported by �The Truth� � �The Facts� � and �The Hand of God�!  And the �food source� is not going away anytime soon!</p>
