You remember Al, the fellow originally from Central Massachusetts, who now lives in the Netherlands and is at the World Court in The Hague (reference Update-September 28, 2007 for more information).

If you read the September 28, 2007 Update, you will remember Al asked if I had ever visited the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, to which I answered, Not yet! Al altered his plans in order to spend some additional time with me to enlighten me on the true impact the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel has had on sinners and how the light from this magnificence has changed peoples lives just in time and how those who have not experienced its wonders before they pass may well have found their eternal being in the bottomless abyss as seen in the Sistine Chapel.

At this point I was intrigued beyond myself and thirsted for more information and an explanation as to where Al was going with all this. Al nonchalantly took out his laptop computer, went directly to a web site concerning the Sistine Chapel, and proceeded to show me the magnificent paintings on the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel.

He asked me if I knew who painted this beautiful masterpiece. Being the historian I am (and Thank God I didnt embarrass myself by not knowing), I blurted out, Michelangelo. Al corrected me by saying, It was Michelangelo Buonarroti; it took him 4 years (from 1508-1512); and he claimed the paintings were there all along and that he only brought them out to the naked eye. Needless to say, I was impressed with Als knowledge, but what was he getting to? I needed to know.

Al went from one picture to another until 16 pictures had been presented to me of Michelangelos work. Al then asked me, Do you know what all this represents? I responded, The journey of life?- only guessing. Al chuckled and said, What Michelangelo said - was there all along and it was his task to bring it to life was The Last Judgment!

He stared at me for what seemed like minutes (but it was only seconds) taking note of the surprise, and I think shock that appeared in my expression. He then asked me what I now saw and what perceptions did I now have that were different from when I first looked at the pictures now knowing it to be - The Last Judgment? Take your time, Al said.

After pausing for a few moment and as I was about to speak and answer what I now witnessed in the murals on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, Al abruptly interrupted and said, Not yet! And he continued, Phil, do you believe in God? Do you believe God sees all and witnesses our every action? Do you believe you, me or anyone can hide anything from God, now or ever? Do you believe God will welcome you into his Eternal Heavenly Kingdom if we have sinned and not repented our sins? Do you believe in the Devil? Do you believe in the existence of Hell? Where do you believe the line is between joining God in his Heavenly Kingdom and being relegated to damnation in Hell?

My mind now running a mile a minute, I quickly said, Al, when are you going to let me answer the questions you continue to pose to me? Als response, Im not going to, because I dont care what your answers are. Your answers belong only to you. Since you have not personally visited the Sistine Chapel, and since I DO want to know what you now see in the brilliance of Michelangelos works you consciously (and to some degree unconsciously) will need to exercise your beliefs as you now present what you see in Michelangelos works.

As I now had the floor and it was my time to respond - Not to the many questions Al posed to me; but to what I now saw as I viewed the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel, Als cell phone rang saving me for the moment and longer as you will see. Al was now being summoned to an unscheduled meeting three buildings away. He quickly arranged for the series of pictures of Michelangelos works to be produced for me to take with me, and asked if I was available at noon the following day as it was some sort of holiday in the Netherlands. Relieved and somewhat overwhelmed with the proceedings of the day, I indicated it would be my pleasure to return the next day, with the noon meeting allowing me ample time to travel once again from Amsterdam to the Hague.

As I returned to Amsterdam (actually Abcoude) via public transportation (the train service in the Netherlands is outstanding), I couldnt take my eyes off the beautiful paintings of the Sistine Chapel. What I NOW saw in these photographs troubled me more and more with every passing mile. I arrived in Abcoude in what appeared to be minutes on the one hand and hours on the other. Its amazing how minutes can be like seconds and at the same time seconds can be like hours.

Needless to say, I didnt sleep a wink that evening. Three (3) times during the night I got up, took the photographs of Michelangelos works into the bathroom, turned on the light to see if what I had seen the entire trip from the Hague to Abcoude was still what I saw at that moment. Yes, it was and more vividly and more stark than the moment before.

I returned to The Hague the next morning arriving almost an hour ahead of our scheduled appointment. I had every reason to be exhausted, but the adrenaline was flowing, and I was as alert as if I had rested for days. Everything was crystal clear in my mind. Everything was crystal clear in my heart. And everything was crystal clear in my view of the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel.

As the clock in a nearby tower struck 12:00 noon (noon in the Hague being 6 hours ahead of eastern time in the U.S.), Al suddenly appeared out of nowhere. How were your travels last evening and again this morning? Al asked. I responded, My travels were fine, but my mind and vision of the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel kept me awake all night! Al smiled and laughed stating, Just as I would have expected. I had a similar experience the first time I was scheduled to visit the Sistine Chapel. The research I did in advance and the anticipation of the visit kept me awake as Im told it has with many folks visiting the Sistine Chapel for the first time.

Phil, before you tell me what you Now see in the photographs I gave to you, give them back to me for a moment, Al said. A bit confused, I quickly obeyed without comment, and I handed Al the series of pictures.

Al then said, Tell me what you know about Michelangelo and the paintings on the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel.

Without hesitation, I began, It took Michelangelo four (4) years to bring forth on the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican that which he truly believed was there all the time that being The Last Judgment! That he, Michelangelo, believed he was tasked by God to bring forth that which within the walls of the Sistine Chapel was that which each of us was to face when we transitioned to the next life. That No man (nor woman) would escape that to be The Last Judgment.

Very good! Im impressed, said Al. Now tell me as best you can without benefit of the photographs to assist you, what you actually saw in the photographs when I first showed them to you yesterday.

I began, On the left side of the beautiful depictions I saw a series of saints and blessed people ascending toward Heaven in an uneven stream, their faces a mix of surprise, shock, and radiance as they reached out and were gently grasped and flanked by the presence of the figure of Jesus Christ. It was such a calming vision; spiritual yet elevating with such a peaceful persona on the faces of those chosen to accompany the Lord to Heaven

I continued, On the right was a decidedly more shocking depiction of a downward trend with slightly more persons unfortunates being dragged, pushed, and hurled into an abyss. I believe I saw the figures of either two or three apelike creatures serving as the gatekeepers of a fiery furnace visible in the background.

That was quite good, said Al. You continue to be, act, and react in the present. Thats quite a gift!

Before I ask you to describe to me what you now see when I lay out and overlay the pictures of the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel, would you care for a broache? (broaches are sandwiches. I may be spelling the name incorrectly, but you get the jist). I indicated I couldnt eat a bite, but be my guest! Al, too, decided to pass on lunch, and we both settled for a different type of iced tea. Once the tea was served, Al immediately proceeded to arrange the pictures on the table in front of me in such a way that the depiction seemed almost as one picture.
Al then said to me, Phil, describe to me what you see, being as open and candid with your observations and perceptions.

I responded, Al, as you know in the Orthodox Community clearly present at each funeral is the Icon of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the descent into Hades; so very similar in the depictions of Michelangelo on the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel.

On the left side, I could see Monsignor Edmund Haddad by the right shoulder of Jesus Christ dressed in his humble robe as Jesus touches his arm with gentleness as they ascend into Gods Eternal Kingdom. In the swell of what appears to be light cloud formations I see Gianoula Bahaviolos, Dr. Roger Moore, Freda Haddad, and Mae Rizkalla each with a peaceful and calming look on their face - different from what I had known or experienced with each of them during their earthly lives. (Each of these individuals transitioned from their earthly existence to their new found eternal life compromised, as they witnessed from afar unfound and wrongful assertions and allegations made about them and their loved ones by corrupt individuals seen to the right side of the Front Wall of the Sistine Chapel).

On the right side, I could clearly see a more populated mix of eternal unfortunates with fear and intrepidation on their faces as they were being dragged, pushed, and hurled over the edge into a dark bottomless abyss with a smoky substance evolving upward from the blackened hole. The line seemed endless with the recognizable face of Mrs. Mangsen, followed closely by Ronald Johnson, John Bresnahan, Scott Sinrich, Kevin Mercadante, James Read, Anne Colleton, and Edward Mazur and numerous faceless men-of-the-cloth (former clergy) rapidly approaching the edge wherein now three (3) ape-like figures were prepared to hurled those fighting back into the awaiting abyss. These individuals were passing between two secondary lines (similar to honorary pallbearers at a funeral as the casket passed before them) consisting of Ralph Barile, Judith McCarthy, and Kathy Cartmell-Siricco on one side; and David Brezniak, Kim Pineau, and James McWilliams on the other all on their knees begging for forgiveness as their time too rapidly approached.

As the first listed above was at the edge, appeared from the smoke rising below, was a battered, tarnished and darkened image of John Kazlauskas beckoning those in line to leap forth toward him. Petrified, scared, and fighting back, one after another was hurled into the abyss through the vision of the waiting arms of Kazlauskas.

Then came, Kurt Mangsen, who appeared to be in a daze and unaware of the surroundings and what was soon to be his fate; followed closely by Leslie Alexander crying profusely and resisting with all her strength. There were several others who faces were familiar, but not clearly recognizable to me now in line.

The whole time I was speaking, Al didnt for a moment take his eyes off me; and the entire time I described what I saw, I did not take my eyes off the collage of pictures in front of me.

Having paused as I did, Al asked, Is that it? I answered, Yes. How do you feel? Al asked. I answered, Sad! Sad for each of those whom I see facing their Last Judgment- absent any recourse to alter their fate. Al looked me squarely in the eyes and said, What you now see in these pictures is your reality, and very possibly the plight of those who have wrongfully and unjustly harmed you and many others in recent times. As you look to the left in your depiction, you see the Monsignor (Haddad), you see those whose names and lives have been altered here on earth by those perpetrators, who for their own unknown motives, have invoked these defenseless people into their scheme to hurt you. You see Jesus Christ ascending to Heaven with them to protect them eternally from acts by those whose future in eternity takes another path. Youre sadness is your revelation that you will not be a party to corruption caused by external forces that being the Devil.

I now found myself physically trembling as a smile came over Als face. Phil, you have now witnessed what many have experienced as a result of their pilgrimage to the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. It is well documented that lives have been changed and revelations beyond human understanding have occurred as sinners as well as spiritual achievers have witnessed in advance what was to be their Last Judgment and immediately took corrective action, which may well have changed their fate. Your vision (what you see in these pictures) is a wake up call from the Risen Lord for those who have wronged you and others. You would do well to present this revelation on the site Justice At What Price!

Gathering my composure, I said to Al, Apparently, the saying is true, The Truth is on the Lips of the Dying.

Al countered, It is also true that It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a grievous sinner to enter the Kingdom of God.

Moments later, we parted company and agreed to stay in contact with each other.

Since this unexpected and life changing encounter, I have not slept more than 4 hours at any one time, and have awakened to the vision of what I have just described in great detail. I have not been able to shake this vision from my mind and the sadness I feel for those referenced herein grows stronger every day.

I leave you with this statement I read on the airplane returning from the Netherlands a few weeks ago. Its your thought for the rest of your earthly life. It goes like this

The answer to the ultimate question of life after death leaves no room for quibbling. The position you take during your life is either right on or dead wrong.
