As a regular visitor to the web site – JUSTICE AT WHAT PRICE –
you know the wide and varied interest in the content of the 100% proven
facts that I have presented on this site since its inception in March 2005.
The web site is routinely visited by Pre-Need Insurance Companies –
many competitors of Columbian Life Insurance Company looking to see if and
when Columbian Life Insurance Company will come to the table and “fess
up” to their role and that of their former Vice President of Pre-Need
– Peter Klamkin.

Also, regular visitors to the web site include funeral directors (at last
count in excess of 600 that have come to know me and my commitment to serving
each and every family in a way and manner that exemplifies my proud record
of NEVER receiving a complaint from any family – “at-need”
or “pre-need”; since I became a licensed funeral director in
1967. The ONLY complaints ever filed against me have been
by jealous and envious funeral directors – and at least one complaint
filed against me by a funeral director was done so anonymously (take notice
Ms. McCarthy for you opened your mouth and made statements on December 9,
2003 “for-the-record” that like the complaints filed by Mrs.
Mangsen on December 9, 2003 are inaccurate, false, and without merit).

There are also a large number of families I have served and who have made
pre-arrangements with me that visit the web site with a great degree of
frequency – one of which is a retired judge in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. He has been extremely careful not to offer advice (legal
or otherwise), and I have been extremely careful not to communicate any
information other than what appears on this web site.

What continues to ring loud and clear through the “smoke-screened”
maze I have found when dealing with the “faceless” State Board
and Division of Professional Licensure is the lack of credibility and accountability
on behalf of government functionaries for their actions. I am reminded of
the funeral director(s) who continue to attempt to do business the way their
fathers and grandfathers have done for 50 years – yet fail to realize
times have changed and so too have families.

The State Board and Division of Professional Licensure believe they too
can continue to operate behind and under the “government veil”
– protected from any semblance of accountability; and like a sniper
in the dark can position himself on a roof top, take a shot with his rifle,
and retreat behind the so-called “government veil” and be protected
from any degree of accountability for his actions.

I suggest to you, that may have been standard operating procedure (SOP)
in the past; but the process does not work that way in this electronic age
and with the Public’s Eyes Wide Open. It makes little difference if
you are a member of Congress, a Senator, the President of the United States,
a political appointee to a State Board, or a government functionary in the
Division of Professional Licensure, you remain accountable for your statements,
actions, or lack thereof. With the advent of the electronic age, through
“darkness” has come “light”.
Many intentionally, others unintentionally, believe they can live as in
the past by believing they can survive in the dark - even with the advent
of light pouring through their shaded windows. Well, you (and they)
are “Wrong”!

Just like Mr. Mercadante, who took a “cheap shot” at me in
his conversations with Mr. Bresnahan, investigator for the State Board and
Division of Professional Licensure, - his statements proven to be less than
truthful (I won’t say lies at this point) by testimony of families
he and Mrs. Mangsen, Nordgren Memorial Chapel, have compromised beyond belief
– now “accountability” for ones statements and actions
is possible because finally through darkness comes - Light!

The requests to review the 4,400+ pages of documents I have in my possession
keep coming in from interested individuals, local and national media, and
consumer advocates – to list but a few. It is a well known fact NOW
that, contrary to statements originally made by Mr. Bresnahan to the State
Board on December 9, 2003 and contradicted during his testimony on May 2,
2006, I am (and if anyone ever were to check would have known) a compulsive
record keeper to the very last detail. I learned early on in my 32 year
federal government career and as a result of the intense training I received
as a “Grievance Examiner” for dispute resolutions; documenting
each and every conversation, documenting each and every meeting, and documenting
each and every action taken was an essential “audit trail” –
hopefully not necessary, but there and readily available when and if the
need were to arise. Mrs. Mangsen and her trusted advisors, along with a
corrupted State Board headed by a corrupt Chairperson, under-estimated as
did Mr. Mercadante, Mr. Johnson, and even Mr. Pickering, my ability to reconstruct
situations and actions taken – even while being shut out from seeing
and reviewing “all” records I had originally created - records
that were not under my control but under the control of the Mangsen’s
and Nordgren Memorial Chapel.

A conservative estimate puts the costs to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
and you (the taxpayers of Massachusetts) associated with the fictitious
complaints filed by Mrs. Mangsen and championed by a corrupt State Board
at $2.5M and counting. I would suspect that when a probe into the real facts
in this matter is initiated by the Office of the Inspector General or other
appropriate state agency, many that presently call 239 Causeway Street,
Boston, Massachusetts their “employment home” may well see their
positions and pensions severally scrutinized and subject to termination
and withdrawal.

I am told in documented form that the State Board comprised of Edward P.
Mazur, Chairperson; Kim Pineau, SCI; David Brezniak, funeral director in
Newton; Judith A. McCarthy, public member, (and not the Division of Professional
Licensure) made a decision in this matter, and that the decision was unanimous
with James R. McWilliams, funeral director in Shrewsbury and Auburn, absent.
Each of the aforementioned members of the Board cannot say now or in the
future that they were unaware of the discrepancies in the facts, as I forwarded
to each of them my response to not their tentative decision, but the tentative
decision as prepared by Ms. Colleton, Administrative Hearings Counsel. Thus,
there is no escape for any Member of the Board (Mazur, Pineau, Brezniak,
McCarthy, or McWilliams) or place for them to hide from that which will
soon be heard and reviewed in Judicial proceedings. Stay Tuned!

I shall soon present Public Records in this matter for your consideration
and review. I have received correspondence from concerned parties that to
release these “publicly classified records” would not be in
my best interest. How so? For it has ONLY been my commitment or purpose
in this matter for the “real” truth to be presented and to be
considered – and not the fictitious, distorted, wrongful, and misguided
allegations and accusations accepted as fact without verification by individuals
operating under the cover of darkness.

The Good Lord said, “Let there be light”!
And there was “LIGHT”! I suggest to you there are many who conversely
should be afraid of the LIGHT, for darkness no longer exists – except
in their statements and actions.

GOD “rocks” and so too will you – when the full
truth be known!

I conclude this Update with the statement:

There MUST be value in the process for families
to spend $7,000, $10,000 or $12,000 for the funeral of a loved one for a
process that generally spans just three (3) days.

There also MUST be value in having a politically
appointed Board to oversee and monitor an industry of its peers without
bias, without prejudice, and without a preconceived position; with decisions
made based solely upon “real” facts and absent influences that
compromise a fair and just process.

It is time for – “Eyes Opened Wider”!

Next Update – June 11, 2007
