<p>This update is dedicated to 24 individuals; whose actions, statements,
arrogance, abuse of power, deceit, corruption, and Yes! – “lies”
have not only put a “black eye” on public service and funeral
service in particular – but have positioned themselves to be exposed
as <strong>despicable people</strong> with no morals, no ethics, and apparently
– no regrets for what they have become. </p>
<p>I have stated on numerous occasions in previous updates – <strong>“It
is impossible to become “clean” without first “coming
clean.”</strong> It is apparent the 24 individuals (12 to be identified
in this update and 12 others to be identified in the update scheduled for
September 20, 2006) I am about to name and state the reasons for their making
this list of despicable people, have chosen an alternate course other than
“the truth” to achieve their goals and justify their actions
and statements. </p>
<p>At the conclusion of this update, I shall summarize with three (3) statements
attributed to clerics of amazing vision when it comes to human behavior
and the short period of time we have to live this life and mark our path
for the next life. You won’t want to miss it!</p>
<p>The following is a List of the<strong> “Most Despicable People I
Have Ever Come to Know”</strong> – that remain alive, along
with the name of the most despicable person I have ever known - that is
deceased. Please Note: there are those on the list I have yet to meet formally,
but whose publicly stated actions and comments have propelled them to be
prominently afforded the honor of being on my list of the <strong>Most Despicable
People</strong> I have encountered in my 61 years. </p>

<ul>
<li><strong>Kurt Mangsen</strong> – Principal owner of Nordgren
Memorial Chapel in Worcester made the list by default. What I mean is
Kurt Mangsen allowed himself to be manipulated by his wife, Katherine,
and their professional advisors and signed correspondences he did not
read, made statements he could not defend, and repeated comments that
he could not remember who told him and when. Kurt was used as a pawn
in this deceptive scheme and his testimony during the Administrative
Hearing was nothing short of the most embarrassing moments anyone could
or would experience in a life time. Kurt’s ONLY shortcoming from
the outset was, he was afraid to be honest with his wife and to tell
her the truth.</li>
<li> <strong>Katherine Mangsen</strong> – wife of Kurt Mangsen ranks
near the top of this list, if not at the very top. Her statements to
the State Board in addition to the complaints filed against me with
the Board have been proven distorted and in many instances – and
out-right lies in other instances. How suspicious is it that Mr. Bresnahan,
(investigator for the State Board) asked for pre-need files to review
during an inspection at Nordgren Memorial Chapel on November 19, 2003,
was given an already completed funeral file (no longer a pre-need file)
by Gail Wiles (secretary at Nordgren’s) that just so happened
to not have the Cost of Goods & Service form in the file. (This
same family had a refund coming back to them promised by me, and Katherine
Mangsen did everything in her power to keep the excess funds and not
return the balance to the family. The family finally had to go to the
Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business
Bureau before finally Katherine Mangsen and Nordgren Memorial Chapel
gave the family the refund of $800+ almost two months after Nordgren
Memorial Chapel received the money from the insurance company). This
was but one of several instances that occurred after my termination
that I shall present in future updates. </li>
<li> <strong>Ronald E. Johnson</strong> – Ron either really hated
me and did a great job of covering it up, or was so scared of also being
terminated by Kurt and Katherine Mangsen that he volunteered lies of
a magnitude beyond belief to support positions taken by Katherine Mangsen.
None of his statements can or have been supported by the facts. Ron,
along with Kurt, is a major disappointment to me. </li>
<li> <strong>Gail Wiles</strong> – Secretary, Nordgren Memorial
Chapel. Gail unfortunately was caught in one lie after another and turned
to Katherine Mangsen for support. Gail took it upon herself to open
mail addressed to me without my permission on more than one occasion
– and in at least one instance the contents mailed to me from
the Orthodox Clergy never did get to me. </li>
<li> <strong>John J. Kazlauskas</strong>, a funeral home owner in Worcester
(now deceased) and Chairperson of the State Board on December 9, 2003
when he made vicious, malicious, and defaming statements about me in
the presence of the members of the State Board, its attorneys and employees,
and the general public; and not one person (including the State Board
attorneys) took issue with Mr. Kazlauskas and his statements. To further
add insult to injury, Mr. Kazlauskas was advised to recuse himself from
the proceedings and did so ONLY for my participation at the meeting
on December 9, 2003 and immediately thereafter assumed the Chairmanship
of the meeting and in the presence of his friends from Nordgren Memorial
Chapel once again attacked me personally and professionally in my absence.
The question keeps surfacing – “Where were the State Board
attorneys in this process?” I suggest to you – “Asleep
at the switch!” Hence, the cover up at the State Board level evolved
in full force! (Mr. Kazlauskas is at the top of the list with Mrs. Mangsen
and several others soon to be named in close proximity). </li>
<li> <strong>John Bresnahan (State Board Investigator)</strong> –
reviewed two (2) files only that I had arranged on November 19, 2003
and without input from me made judgments and drew conclusions without
the benefit of the facts. He then accepted tainted and compromised “so
called evidence” from Mrs. Mangsen and Nordgren Memorial Chapel
after the fact without benefit of his participation or my participation
in the process. At this juncture, I won’t reiterate Mr. Bresnahan’s
incompetence, for it has been adequately addressed in the last two (2)
Updates – August 18, 2006 and August 28, 2006. (Suffice it to
say, Mr. Bresnahan and Mrs. Mangsen are holding hands with Mr. Kazlauskas
at the top of the list). </li>
<li> <strong>Kevin L. Mercadante</strong> – Nothing more can or
need be said other than that which is in the Updates – August
18, 2006 and August 28, 2006. (Mr. Mercadante is close – very
close - to the top of the list of despicable people). </li>
<li> <strong>David Pickering</strong> – A real good funeral director,
who panicked, became involved, and was “suckered” into the
process by others with an “axe to grind”. Mr. Pickering
was used by a desperate State Board on a mission to get me at any cost,
and they used Mr. Pickering and called him as a prosecution witness
even though he did not enter the picture until after the Order to Show
Cause was issued – leaving Mr. Mercadante off the list of prosecution
witnesses. (You guessed it, I called Kevin L. Mercadante as a “hostile”
witness for the defense, so that he could either tell the truth or lie
to my face). David Pickering should not have made the list, but his
refusal to own up to the full truth and state that which he knew to
be factual earned him a place on the list!</li>
<p><strong><em>It is now time to turn to the State Board Members as of
December 9, 2003.</em></strong></p>
<li> <strong>John J. Kazlauskas</strong> – Chairman - previously
addressed </li>
<li> <strong>Kathy Cartmell-Sirrico</strong> <strong>– Secretary
–</strong> A major disappointment to me. Ms. Cartmell-Sirrico
sat comfortably quiet while Mr. Kazlauskas defamed me by referring to
me as a “snake” and a “carpetbagger” on December
9, 2003. She assumed the Chairperson of the meeting when Mr. Kazlauskas
was advised to recuse himself; yet without hesitation gave up the Chair
to Mr. Kazlauskas upon my departure from the meeting prior to the Mangsen’s
and their attorney entering the room. If Ms. Cartmell-Sirrico had any
self respect, dignity, morals or ethics from her years on the State
Board, she would have known that Mr. Kazlauskas needed to continue to
recuse himself from the remainder of the proceedings. Ms. Cartmell-Sirrico,
although not at the top of the list, most certainly belongs on the list.
It is well that she no longer serves on the State Board. </li>
<li> <strong>Mr. Edward Mazur</strong> – a member of the State Board
in 2003, he sat quietly and watched for most of the proceedings on December
9, 2003 according to the audio tape of the meeting I have in hand after
a tumultuous process in obtaining the recording. He did nothing to stop,
or counter the actions of the chairperson in his comments or actions.
As Chairperson of the State Board for the duration of the Administrative
Hearings and witnessing the testimony and the truth as presented by
me and attested to by the actual witnesses, it will be interesting to
see the resolution and Mr. Mazur’s input into the final decision.
</li>
<li><strong>Ralph Barile </strong>– member of the State Board in
December 2003. Mr. Barile also sat idylly by and watched in support
of the circus atmosphere and did nothing to level the playing field.
His only question was totally irrelevant to the situation at hand, and
reeked with partiality during the aforementioned meeting. Mr. Barile’s
sudden and unexplained departure as a State Board Member is suspect,
but a positive result in the long term. </li>
<li><strong>Judith McCarthy</strong> – Public Member of the Board.
Ms. McCarthy is quick to tell you she is not a funeral director. Ms.
McCarthy was quick to pick up the gauntlet from the prejudice, biased,
and defaming Mr. Kazlauskas and “run off at the mouth” without
the facts. This was clearly the case on December 9, 2003 and available
for all to hear in her own words on the audio tape of the meeting I
will share with anyone interested. In a statement to the State Board
on December 9, 2003 I indicated I had been before the Board on numerous
occasions and in at least one instance as a result of an anonymous complaint.
Ms. McCarthy took issue with this statement indicating the State Board
does not react to anonymous complaints, and that I would have been told
the name of the person making the complaint – in affect “calling
me a liar.” Not wishing to embarrass Ms. McCarthy any more than
she had done to herself, I let the issue pass; even though I have available
to me the anonymous complaint and the actions and results thereof from
the State Board. (Ms. McCarthy ranks very near the top of the most despicable
list of people I have come to know; having allowed herself to be influenced
and prejudiced by Mr. Kazlauskas and others prior to my being called
before the Board).</li>
</ul>

<p>What you have just reviewed is the “initial list of the <strong>Most
Despicable People</strong> I have come to know”. If you do not see
your name, it does not necessarily mean you have not made the list; for
there are 12 names and explanations forthcoming in the next update scheduled
for September 20, 2006. (In the event anyone listed above or anyone who
will be listed in the September 20, 2006 Update wishes to respond to me
regarding what I have stated in the updates of September 10th and will present
on September 20th, I will be pleased to present your responses and comments
on this web site - <strong>www.justiceatwhatprice.com</strong> in a future,
yet timely, update).</p>
<p>I humbly suggest each of those listed above (with the exception of Mr.
Kazlauskas – for him it is too late) take a moment to reflect upon
these three (3) statements and determine where you fit into the mix –
because you <strong>DO</strong> fit into the mix. To each of you not referenced
above, and whether or not you make the list on September 20th, you might
also do well to contemplate your standing within the 3 statements.</p>
