Several months ago, I was contacted by a gentleman from Ft. Collins, CO
who had read one or more of several articles published in the Funeral Monitor
that referenced me. He had visited the web site www.justiceatwhatprice.com
on a regular basis since its inception in April 2005 and asked if I could
prove the statements I have made on the web site to date. I indicated –
“Absolutely!”

The questions kept coming one after the other and the questions were pertinent
to the issues and well focused. I interrupted the gentleman asking, “Are
you with the media?” He laughed saying, “I wondered how long
it was going to take you to inquire as to who I was and was I with the press?”

The gentleman stated that he recently retired as the Chief Investigator
for the Department of Licensed Professional Services in a mid-western state
and then moved to Colorado. A funeral director he knew gave him a couple
of issues of the Funeral Monitor, and that’s how he learned about
the issues with the local funeral directors and the State Board in Massachusetts.
He indicated he was extremely interested in the case, and if I would share
all the information I had gathered as a result of the investigation we had
conducted with him; he would be pleased to review it and be willing to potentially
be called as an expert witness – so long as I could validate and prove
the statements made by John J. Kazlauskas, Chairperson of the State Board
of Registration of Funeral Directors & Embalmers, Commonwealth of Massachusetts
during the December 9, 2003 Meeting of the State Board.

I thanked him for his interest and indicated I was not of a mind to provide
anyone other than Commonwealth of Massachusetts officials – investigative
and otherwise – with the information gathered until I had exhausted
all avenues within the administrative process. After exhausting all administrative
remedies, the specifics would be available to him, the media, and for all
to read, see, and react to as appropriate. He indicated he would continue
to read the updates and would be in contact with me with questions he might
have.

My travel schedule for late February and early March had me being in Denver,
CO – arriving in the early morning on February 28th and leaving on
the “red eye” late on the evening of March 1st. Interested in
meeting this gentleman, I contacted him indicating that if he could get
to Denver on Tuesday, February 28th, I would arrange to meet with him either
late afternoon or in the early evening on Tuesday.

We did meet early Tuesday evening for a drink and hors d’oeuvres,
at which time I provided him with information, the results of our investigation,
and the transcript of the December 9, 2003 Meeting of the State Board. He
read the complaints filed against me. He read my responses. And he kept
shaking his head saying, “Where was the investigation
into all this?” “This should never have been allowed
to get to this point.” “They (referring to State Board Members)
must not have read your responses.” “What you have here are

a whole host of ‘Dirty People’ sitting
in judgment of you!”

Caught off guard, as it were, I asked him what he meant by “dirty
people?” He indicated, “It is clearly apparent you have been
set up from the start and what you have here is much more than a witch hunt.
You have a conspiracy that undermines the integrity of your state government
and the integrity of funeral service. Things like this provide the fuel
for tabloid publications like the Funeral Monitor, so that you have to waddle
through the personal gobbledygook in order to find that “sliver of
truth” to get at anything factual. Few have the sophistication and
time to see through the crap and find the truth.

At this point I was worn out. So much was stated by this experienced investigator
and his perceptions validated the findings and beliefs we had now amassed
for many months. Before parting ways and agreeing to stay in contact with
each other, he stated in no uncertain terms, “You (looking squarely
into my eyes), have an obligation to every funeral director and to every
family that will someday have dealings with a funeral director to pursue
whatever it takes for the truth and facts to be presented in a public forum.
Otherwise, other funeral directors will become victims and be compromised
and receive a similar fate by ‘dirty’ public servants and ‘dirty’
state appointees”.

I didn’t sleep well the evening of February 28, 2006 as his observations,
comments, and statements rang loud and long in my mind. It was almost as
if the time we spent together was a reaffirmation that “Character
Assassins” (now characterized as “Dirty People”)
MUST be identified, rooted out, and held accountable for their statements
and actions.

Several days passed and I received a phone call from this gentleman asking
if I was O.K. after thinking about all that was said and discussed. I indicated
I couldn’t help but think of the many less than honest and honorable
people involved in this mess that I now consider as being “dirty”.
He stated to me, “From my experience, when you are ‘dirty’,
you are forever – ‘dirty’! In order to ‘Become Clean’
– one must ‘Come Clean’ and the trauma of coming clean
and admitting when you have deliberately wronged someone is too traumatic
for most people to handle until they have been dealt a fatal blow. Oftentimes,
even then it is too late.

I have taken the time to review the volumes of correspondence I have generated
and correspondence that has come my way during the past 28+months. I have
responded to each and every letter I have received and request made of me.
I have contacted and responded to correspondence from the State Board Members,
State Board employees, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Officials to include
the Governor, Attorney General, Inspector General, Director of Consumer
Affairs and Business Regulations, Ethics Commission, State Senator, and
State Representative and their staffs (the Lt. Governor was too busy positioning
herself to seek the Governor’s Office to respond). For the next update
(Part 5 in the 12 Part Series) I shall present a list of person(s) with
whom I have had contact in this attempt to assassinate my character –
persons within the funeral profession or related thereto; persons within
the State Government, Commonwealth of Massachusetts – both employees
as well as appointees; and others that can ONLY be classified as being –
“Dirty”! It has been suggested to
me that the dirt is clearly visible on the hands, cheeks, and foreheads
of those that are “dirty”, and that no matter how often and
how hard they scrub or how much make-up they apply, the dirt will always
show through to the naked eye of the keen, sensitive, and caring public
that truly believes that honor, integrity, and truth to ones word is key
to salvation.

It’s a fact – “No one will escape this life – Alive!”
We, you and me, will have but one chance to atone for our statements and
actions; and if the clergy I speak with and deeply respect are correct and
the bible and the scriptures I read are for real, when we pass from this
life and meet the “ALMIGHTY” – it most probably will be
too late to attempt to “balance the books” & right that
which you have done very wrong.
If your name appears in the next update scheduled for April 3, 2006, please
know that I will be available to speak with you concerning the reasons for
your listing; and I will be more than pleased to recant any fact, statement,
or observation not 100% factual and correct based upon information I have
gathered from our investigation or otherwise have in my possession.

In the meantime, think long and hard about “becoming
clean” by “coming clean”
before the truth and the facts do it in spite of you.

Computer formatted MP3 disc copies of the State Board of Registration of
Funeral Directors and Embalmers of December 9, 2003, wherein the plot to
assassinate my character was carefully orchestrated by Mr. Kazlauskas, Mr.
Bresnahan, other members of the State Board; and the Mangsen’s statements,
which will soon be proven to be known lies and intentionally presented to
the State Board Members knowing the statements made were not true, can now
be heard by all in the actual voices of the co-conspirators in the process.
After the initial distribution of the disc copies of the December 9, 2003
meeting has been completed, copies will be made available upon request at
no cost to interested parties.

Part 5 in the 12 Part Series – is scheduled for April 3,
2006
