What you are about to read below was loaded to the Internet the
night before (Sept. 10th 2001) the day of "attacks" on New York. It was
before we saw the Map of Iraq (by Cheney) with the Oil Company names written
in, before we knew Bin-laden was dead, before the Un-Patriotic Act turned
the U.S. Constitution into Toilet Paper, before Israel destroyed Gaza (worse
than Hamas) ...before we blamed it all on Iraq and eviscerated International
Law by attacking a country, pre-meditated and un-provoked.
We are now Amerika, We are Borg, "Resistance is Futile", said little Donnie
Rumsfeld. Then he later denied imitating Star Trek lingo, even though he was
caught on video.

Flip ahead to 2014 (13 years since the document

still arguing over resources, religion and borders. How mundane.
Boring Sidney! Seems time is in a loop, frozen in circular, perpetual
stupidity? You are right, my friend. Now what shall we do about it?

Two Sumo wrestlers, trading accusations of tyrant and terrorist?
Both are right, and wrong. If this were accepted freely, we could move
on. But the reality of futility is given only brazen lip service. To know
that one's effort will yield, only minimally, the desired outcome, is one
thing to admit, quite another to tell "the people". In Israel & Palestine,
neither party has the guts to face down their own and tell them the pathetic,
obvious truths, about everything ranging from water to electricity.

We can speculate, endlessly, why and wherefore, but in the cross hairs,
a generation of children will have perished. In the end, perhaps 4,000
Israelis and 20,000 Palestinians dead? Are we prepared to watch in horror,
as we have so many times and places elsewhere, to stand on the sidelines,
as Bush and Powell prefer, while this 5-year civil war wages on? We think
not.

Be part of the solution, which is always motivated by people to people
work, not NGO's (political alliances) or Governments (dedicated to maintaining
the status quo). Was it a government which fought to Ban
Land Mines, or one determined individual, supported by multitudes?

So here were are, presented by the current dilemma, and asked for a
response. If it were just time or money, the problem would already have
been solved, because there is an abundance of both in America. But ancient
hatreds there, hardened by stone and baked by sun, keep any resolution
still borne. The task requires unique solutions and peaceful, non-violent
resolution.

How we act, as individuals, and joined in solidarity, will be the measure
of the result. It will not be enough to have resolved conflict, (though
many doubt this effort is anything more that Pollyanna musings), unless
done in a way where both parties approach and leave the process as equals.
In that atmosphere and environment, all things are possible, Baruch Hashem,
Insha' Allaha, G-d willing!
