techniques the recurrence rate was around 0.4% of all patients in the study. The national
average for open repair is 10 to 13%. This study also found that in open hernia many
hernias are "Missed due to the doctor not being able to visualize both sides of the
the patient. </font><p><font FACE="Arial" SIZE="2">With the Balloon technique Dr.
Kuperschmit is able to visualize and repair both sides (bilateral) without invading the
abdominal cavity and with three tiny incisions. Dr. Kuperschmit has adopted this technique
for obvious clinical benefits and routinely uses the Balloon assisted Laparoscopic hernia
approach for his patients. Only the most skilled surgeons can offer this technique to
their patients. The biggest benefit to the patient is that FULL RECOVERY CAN USUALLY BE
