When riding a bike, the most common problem is being seen by motorists.
The product described here is meant to increase the wearers visibility, especially at night and during times of lower visibility.

The helmet has discrete SuperBright LEDs which allow for good visibility in daylight while making the system very rugged and giving a life of many years without needing to replace bulbs. This also gives a low power consumption making the system able to operate on battery power for days without concern. The system operates on 4 size AA batteries which are commonly available.

There is one Microchip PIC microprocessor in the system controlling the operation of the LEDs.
