... the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad (RBMN) acquired ex-Gulf, Mobile and Northern (GMN), a 1928 Baldwin, 4-6-2 Pacific Class, steam locomotive in 1983. GMN retired the locomotive in 1950 and she moved around through an assortment of scenic, tourist lines before finding her current home in Port Clinton. The engine received its distinctive RBMN blue paint in 1992 and pulled excursions until 1996. A restoration was completed in 2007 and in 2008 she re-enterd service. 425 went into the Strasburg Rail Road (SRC) Backshop from 2012 into 2013 for upgrades and further work... returning in 2013, powering Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway (LGSR) excursions out of Jim Thorpe. RBMN 425 can generally be found pulling LGSR tourist passenger coaches during major National Holidays. I last saw her under steam, prior to this painting, in Jim Thorpe, heading up the trains running over the weekend preceeding July 4, 2017.<BR>
