... from my pencil sketch, on site, during the blazing, hot afternoon of May 30, 2014, at the "Streamliners at Spencer" event held four days over the end of May, at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. Lackawanna #664 & the B unit are owned by the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society... #663 is owned by the Tri-State Railway Historical Society and both currently operate from the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This A-B-A set of F3's... both cab units, are former Bangor & Aroostook (BAR) locomotives built in 1948, and the oldest EMD F units operating in the USA... were painted in Lackawanna (DLW) (Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad) heritage livery in 2010, after having run for several years under Central New Jersey (CNJ), tangerine & blue, as #56 & #57... out of Jim Thorpe, PA. The B unit is a former Boston & Maine (BM) acquisition, built in 1950 and received the Lackawanna heritage colors in 2014.
