<p>... East Point Lighthouse sits at the far northeast tip of Prince Edward Island and both it and the coastline have changed their relative location over the years. The tower was originally constructed in 1867... 1,600 feet to the west, but after a few shipwrecks it was moved east, so as not to be so far removed from the dangers of the actual reef. The edge of the island of course... continues to erode and move west toward the light. The structure next to it today, is the old foghorn building, that has been moved even closer to the lighthouse from its previous and increasingly perilous position at lands edge in 2007. This is how she sits in 2012.<BR></p>
