Architectural Illustration. Architectural Rendering . Artist's Rendering . Artist's Sketch . Conceptual Sketch...

Obviously, everyone is not trained to "read" a drafted set of architecture drawings, what we used to call... "the blue prints".
If you find yourself in the position where you must present your proposal to a large audience, in the clearest of forms... You want the Graphic... The "Artist's Rendering".
When impact and presentation count, when the question is asked... "What's it going to look like..." You need the Graphic! The artist's rendering, or architectural illustration, historically a staple in the design review and fundraising venue, is well utilized in the display of college & university facilities, as well as resorts, conference centers, corporate and commercial sites. The drawn and painted illustration adds an element of comfort and familiarity in a context that softens some of the harshness of real life. The relationships of color, texture, size & distance remain clear, yet the time stamp of fashion in clothing and automotive design is muted. James R Mann loves to construct these complex perspective drawings and paintings. He is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators & continues as the Architectural Illustrator of the University of Pennsylvania now, in excess of 28 years. James Mann creates architectural illustrations in both the traditional gouache & watercolor methods and with pen & ink.
