The Software Testing seminar provides an overview of the major elements
in testing, including who should do testing, when testing should be
done, formality needed in testing, and development team dynamics to
ensure the proper amount of testing is done. Resources involved in
unit testing for individual modules, integration testing for component
groups, and acceptance testing for production are presented.
Important types, including functional, structural, static, dynamic,
white box, black box, and regression testing, are reviewed. The
IEEE Standard for Software Verification & Validation is presented
for use as a possible testing template.
