The QA, CM, & Risk Management seminar provides an overview of the
fundamental elements of quality assurance, configuration management, and
risk management. QA Institute criteria and best practices are
presented, and the quality management of functionality, usability,
reliability, performance, and supportability are described. QA
processes are explained to effectively perform them while minimizing the
impact on project development. CM methodology is explained,
including the important functions of configuration identification,
configuration control, configuration auditing, and configuration status
accounting, and is directed towards setting up the appropriate CM
formality for an organization. Risk management is explained,
focusing on risk assessment (including identification, analysis, and
prioritization) and risk control (including management planning, risk
resolution, and risk monitoring). An industry-accepted list of the
top 10 software risks is reviewed, with ways to minimize them.
