    along with the medical forms. My dictionary is a cost-effective way of bringing 
    new employees up the learning curve. Many companies hand it out at every training 
    class they give. Many give it out to everyone attending regular sales conferences. 
    I�ve caught senior executives sneaking a peak into the dictionary.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

    I have a small team working on it. Second, I devour every magazine, every 
    press release and every new book I can find. The best part is that my readers 
    contribute new definitions. I put my email address in the front of the dictionary. 
    I actively solicit new contributions. I offer people sending me new or corrected 
    definitions a new dictionary. This �reward� system has enabled me to keep 
    the dictionary current and updated. I send out a lot of �reward� dictionaries 
    each year.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

    put out a new edition every year. But halfway through the year, I update the 
    dictionary. If you buy a 17<sup>th</sup> edition halfway through the year, 
    it will be bigger than the one you bought earlier in the year. The cover will 
    be the same. The ISBN number will be the same. But it will be bigger and more 
    up to date.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

    satisfies their need for up-to-date business information covering all the 
    technical terms in telecommunications, networking and the Internet. The other 
    dictionaries are good but they typically assume you know a lot. Their definitions 
    are often shorter. Some of them are simply not relevant. They�re not written<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes">� </span>by a businessman. They�re written by technical 
    writers. The worst thing about them is they�re too small. Mine�s got 22,000 
    terms I define. Theirs typically have 5,000. That�s a big difference.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

    it was a much smaller industry, with far few players. So one big company could 
    establish its own jargon as industry jargon. That�s no longer possible. Now 
    much of the work is done in standards committee. I�ve taken out the proprietary 
    terms. I also take out obsolete terms. I take out obsolete products and services.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

    was born in Sydney, Australia, graduating in Economics. I left Australia in 
    August 1966 to spend a year traveling the world before starting an MBA at 
    the Harvard Business School. I graduated from there in June 1969. The turning 
    point in my life was meeting Bill McGowan, chairman of MCI, who had just won 
    the MCI Decision before the FCC. That decision, in the summer of 1969, opened 
    the telecommunications industry to competitive long-distance communications.
