For 1/2" models, use a <a href="12A272.htm">12A272</a> mounting clamp, or its equivalent, to securely mount the
sensor. All other models have either #10 or 1/4" clearance holes, for mounting to bulkheads or brackets.<br>
<br>Units should be mounted as far from metal as possible, and adjusted after they are mounted.<br>
<br>As a general rule, sensors mounted side-by-side should be spaced a minimum of half the sensor diameter away

With no target present, turn the adjustment potentiometer fully CW. This is the point of maximum
sensitivity.<br>

Then, test for detectability.<br>

<strong>Use actual parts to test detection. Feed your parts through the center of the ring,
where sensitivity is the least, to ensure consistency.</strong><br>

To reduce sensitivity, turn the potentiometer CCW.</strong></font><br>
<br><font color="#ff0000"><strong>Note: PE706 Models are dynamic (AC coupled) devices,
which deliver high-sensitivity performance. They do, however, require a 1'/minute (.3 meters/minute) minimum
