<br>
In 1926 she participates in the Salon des Artistes D�corateurs while still
a student at the �cole de l'Union centrale des Arts d�coratifs.<br>
<br>
At the 1927 Salon d'Automne she presents the aluminum and chrome-plated
metal very functional "Bar under the Roof" which is a considerable success.
Le Corbusier is a fan of the bar and asks Charlotte Perriand to collaborate
with him in everything concerning spatial outfittings<br>
. <br>
She works with Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret for ten years.
<br>
In 1929, she leaves the Salon des Artistes D�corateurs and takes part
in founding the Union des Artistes modernes. <br>
<br>
In 1937, she becomes independent and is invited to be an industrial art
consultant in Japan by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Japan.
There she creates European-style chairs that are made of local materials.<br>
<br>
After the war, she takes up her work again finalizing the first kitchen
prototype for Le Corbusier's Marseille. The kitchen was exhibited at the
1950 Salon des Arts m�nagers. <br>
<br>
At the beginning of the 1950s, the furnishings as well as stackable chairs
and tables are produced in Nancy at Jean Prouv�'s Ateliers and edited
by the Steph Simon gallery in Paris. Collaborating with Jean Prouv� she
produces furnishings for the Maison de l'Etudiant in Paris, the Maison
du Mexique and Maison de la Tunisie at the Antony Cit� Universitaire.<br>
<br>
She constructed and equipped winter sports resorts : M�ribel-les-Allues
and Les Arcs. </p>
