Reddies River Church was founded in 1798, replacing the Deep Ford Hill Church which was established in 1784.  Many members of the Shepherd family were charter members of the church:  John and Sarah Shepherd; Robert Shipherd; Sarah Shepherd; Stephen Shepherd, Delphy Shepherd Judd; Lucy Shepherd Pumphrey; Anna Shepherd Viars; James Shepherd.<P>
