Maps indicating location of land owned by Abraham Tennison, 1797

The above map shows that Abraham Tennison Jr. and Abraham Tennison were both living in Rowan County, NC by 1797. Note that their closest neighbors were Charles Hunter and Philip Dowell.

This map shows that the land the Tennison's were living on in 1797 was a tract(s) of land settled by John March in 1783. (His closest neighbors are Charles Hunter and Philip Dowell.) Also note that just above the John March tract are two tracts; one settled by Jacob Haneline in 1783 and the other tract "Jacob Booe for the Haneline Orphans." There is clearly an association between this Tennison family, the Cheshire family and the Haneline family.
