<H4>Henry Slater was born in 1747 and was married to (Elizabeth?) Ann Smith in MD before coming to NC.  Henry was possibly the son of Thomas Slater who was a tenant of Carroll's Manor in Maryland in 1765.  They had seven children:<P>
