I've been a TarHeel fan for almost 50 years. I can't stand Duke. I can't stand Coach K. I detest Coach Barnes with the Texas Longhorns. I hate anyone who has ever slighted the TarHeels or Coach Dean Smith. I like Coach Knight. I love Dickie V. Jay Bilas I take with a grain of salt because I know where he came from. I pulled for Kansas way before Roy Williams knew where Lawrence, Kansas was located because Coach Smith went to Kansas. I pulled for the Jayhawks when Roy Williams went to Kansas because I thought he was a TarHeel. Born and Breed. But I've never had a JAYHAWK sticker on my sweater.

The TarHeels made a huge mistake before the game started with Kansas. In the team introduction part of the pre-game show when the five TarHeel starters asked the question "Have you heard of Michael Jordan? Have you heard of James Worthy?" My God, is Roy Williams crazy? Why would he ever let the players compare themselves to these two icons? What kind of set-up was that? It went down HEEL fast after the next commercial.

So we lost to Kansas. I'm over that. It's a hard road to the Final Four and it's even harder to win a National Championship. If anyone knows that fact, it's a TarHeel fan. I don't know what went wrong with my favorite team when they played Kansas. They looked like they didn't even know where they were for the first 15 minutes. But for Roy Williams to stand-by and let the score get to 40-12 without calling a timeout, that in my opinion, is unconscionable. Was he giving the players a secret signal as he sat there with his finger on his cheek? Or was the signal the one where he kept pulling his glasses off and looking at them? Jesusssss H. Christ, I wanted to pull his hair out!

And THEN on Monday night during the championship game, there sat COACH Roy Williams in San Antonio with a JAYHAWK sticker on his sweater. A JAYHAWK sticker, can you believe it? I couldn't. I'll tell you one thing - Coach Smith would never put a Jayhawk sticker on his chest. And he IS Kansas born and breed. If I had been the TarHeel who was sitting in front of Roy Williams at the Kansas-Memphis game, I would have turned around and ripped it off his skinny little chest. I may have gone to jail. I most certainly would not have been allowed to see the game, but I would have ripped it off any way.

If the coaching job comes up in Kansas - I think Roy Williams should apply. But I'm willing to bet ANYONE he wouldn't get the job.

You think the Kansas Jayhawks hate Roy Williams? Well, you've just read the wrath of one TarHeel!

Oh, yes. And to Wilbon on EPSN's PTI program. Get over it? Get over it? Not in my lifetime.

Roy's shining moment. Well, well, well.
