His widow Catharina (Kern) Lang married George Hoppes, and immigrated with him and her two Lang sons on the Queen of Denmark in 1751. The two sons, Friedrich and George, both came to North Carolina. The name becomes Long in later generations. Catharina died in 1799 and is buried in the George Long family cemetery in Yadkin Co.
