John Adam Sr. married Maria Margaretha Fiedler (1747-about 1819) possibly in PA, daughter of Gottfried Fiedler (1715-1754) and moved to NC by 1770.
Although John Adam Kiger was a Lutheran, he was closely associated with the Moravians. In 1778 Adam Geiger/Kiger donated 102 acres (located in present day Rural Hall NC) to the Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church. The church was soon erected and served the community for 94 years. (This church was sometimes called Beaver Dam Church, Fessler's Church and eventually came to be known as Nazareth Lutheran Church. In 1863 the congregation sold 92 acres to John W. Bostick. In 1878 the present church was built and is still serving the community. A great many of the Kigers listed below are buried in the Nazareth Lutheran Graveyard.
First Generation
Children of Johann Adam Geiger (1735/36-1827) and Maria Margaretha Fiedler
(probably) Mary Elizabeth Geiger (1765-1829) m. John Speas (1762-1841)
Anna Christina Geiger (1769-prob. bef. 1799) probably m. Peter Binkley (c1764-1811)
Johann Adam Geiger Jr. (1771-ca. 1839) m. Christina Moser (1774-aft.1850)
(d/o Leonard Moser and Sarah Binkley)
Jacob Keiger (1775) m.
