An abstracted list of property sold October 3rd and 4th, 1837 belonging to the Estate of the late James Jarvis, dec'd.  The widow and children are listed first and in the order in which the items are bought.  The remaining names are listed in order as they appear on the inventory along with the items they purchased.  The total amount of the estate sale was $1575.182/1<P>

Sarah Jarvis and others Exparte, Petition for Division of Slaves<P>

In this case it is ordered by the court that Samuel L. Davis, Henry Eecles and Bradford Vawter be appointed commissioners to make a division of the slaves in the Pettion allotting & selling a part to each petitioner an equal share of the slaves.<P>

In odedience to an order of Court to us directed (?) we the underneath subscribers convened at the late dwelling house of James Jarvis, dec'd and proceeded to lot of & divide said negroes as follows:<P>
