<H4>First Generation</H4>

Jacob H&ouml;rdt was the son of Wendel H&ouml;rdt of Lembach, Alsace.  He married Maria Barbara Dreher (1703-1757) in 1729 in Preuschdorf, Alsace, daughter of Hans Michael Dreher.  She was a widow by 1738 when she immigrated to America with her son Johann Martin.  Church records in Alsace name three other children who do not appear in the ship's records.  <P>

Maria Barbara married <A HREF="greter.html">Jacob Greter</A> in November 1738 in Muddy Creek PA.  She died in 1757 in Pennsylvania.<P>

The boys Martin and Johannes Hirt of Bethlehem PA are named in the will of Jacob Greter, dated 1784.  Each was to receive five pounds when he came of age.<P>
