He afterwards moved across to the west side of Silas Creek, perhaps to the place owned by Mr. John Wesner. In 1849 Enoch and Katie moved to Prairie County, Arkansas where Katie died in 1850. Enoch then married Elizabeth (Betsy) Ann Chaffin.
