His will was probated in Stokes Co. NC in 1829.<P> James Crim was born about 1784 in Virginia, son of Jacob Crim and Mary Button, and reportedly married Eleanor Cook. Census records suggest that they had at least four sons and three daughters, and that Eleanor died between 1840 and 1850.
