VA, and died in 1826 in Surry Co. NC. He married Elizabeth Kerr (1763-1850) of Goochland Co. VA on June 6, 1781, in Surry County. Elizabeth filed for a Revolutionary War pension in Stokes Co. NC 1838; her declaration and those of several other people supporting her claim provide details of his military service (thanks to Cheryl Hunke for this information!). <P> <HR> <H4>Second Generation</H4> Children of William Apperson and Elizabeth Kerr<BR> John Apperson (1783-?)<BR> Peter Apperson (1784? - 1853)<BR> Francis Apperson (1785-ca. 1858)<BR> Richard Apperson (1786-before 1838), did not marry<BR> William Apperson (1788-1830)<BR> Thomas Apperson (1790-1854) m. Luvitha Vest (1808-1894) d/o <A HREF="vest.html">Isham Vest</A> and Nancy Page or Pledge<BR> Doctor Alexander Apperson (1792-1865)<BR> Mary Apperson (1794-before 1838)<BR> Bennet Apperson (1798-ca. 1822)<BR> Elizabeth Apperson (1799-1851) m. <A HREF="sprinkle.html">Thomas Sprinkle</A> (1793-1866)<BR> George Apperson (1801-1853), did not marry<BR> twins born and died 1796<P> Most of the sons in this family moved to Kentucky and then on further west. George and Bennet died in Surry Co. NC, unmarried. So far as I can determine, only Thomas and Elizabeth remained in NC and left descendants. Elizabeth Apperson and Thomas Sprinkle are discussed on the <A HREF="sprinkle.html">Sprinkle</A> page.
