<p class="text">Each year, K-12 school districts invest millions of tax dollars in textbooks for their schools. It is a little known fact that a district’s textbook inventory represents one of its most valuable assets, second in value only to actual school district buildings.<br /><br />
If your school district is like most, textbooks get lost or misplaced, hoarded by individual teachers or schools, stored in miscellaneous closets, or replaced as needed throughout the school year by simple submission of a purchase order. These operational inefficiencies and lack of cost controls create additional work and drive textbook expenses up. By establishing a proper K-12 textbook inventory process, your district will experience improved operations, increased efficiencies and cost savings, and a greater return on its textbook investment.<br /><br />
