<p class="main">We took a 10-day vacation to Costa Rica, thinking that it might be a while before all four of us would be able to travel together again. The trip was really great.</p>
<p class="main">If you are thinking about possible places to spend a vaction, I would urge you to consider Costa Rica for several reasons.</p>
<p class="main">First, it is beautiful and offers a lot of activities --- hiking, river rafting, horseback riding, "canopy tours", zip-lining, snorkeling, hot springs, good food, and plenty of chances to speak Spanish.</p>
<p class="main">It is also a country that decided to disband its military, set high environmental preservation goals, and encourage sustainable industries. It still has a way to go on all of those, but it is doing good things. And we also met many friendly and helpful people wherever we went.</p>
