the new studio is committed to promoting accessible web design in its own work and in the work of others. By accessible web design, we mean the design and coding of web pages that can be easily accessed by users of the web with disabilities.</p>
<p class="main">
We believe that this requires an evolution of our design approach, based on continual learning about the existing guidelines for compliance, and updating our techniques and skills. Our goal is to create accessible designs, while delivering the visual aesthetics and navigational clarity that we and our clients want.</p>
<p class="main">
While our site is in transition, we want to demonstrate our direction through the design of this section. This page is an alternative approach to the layout of our <a href="../portfolio/index.html">"portfolio" page</a>, based on more extensive use of web accessibility techniques. As another example, the first client in the list below is the Massachusetts Association of Human Rights and Relations Commissions. We developed that basic site to give them a presence on the web that complied with existing accessibility guidelines, the Federal Government's [links open new window] <a href="http://www.section508.gov/" target="_blank">Section 508</a> and the <a href="http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/full-checklist.html" target="_blank">W3C's WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)</a>.</p>
