<TD BGCOLOR="#CCCCFF" ALIGN="LEFT"><IMG SRC="../../images/onepixel.gif" WIDTH="1" HEIGHT="10" ALT="" BORDER="0"><DIV CLASS="main"><font face="arial,sans-serif" size="3" color="#000000"><B>The Biostatistics Research Center (BRC)</B> in the Institute of Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies is dedicated to the investigation and application of new statistical methods, assisting clinical investigators in their research, and to mentoring and education.
<P>
The Center's staff hold faculty and scientific staff appointments at Tufts-New England Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine and the Tufts Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. Members serve on grant proposal review committees for the NIH, the Agency for Healthcare Policy and Research, and other federal funding agencies. Staff are also members of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC).
Current areas of research of the statisticians and scientific staff of the Biostatistics Research Center include:

The BRC collaborates extensively with investigators in other departments at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Tufts University, and other institutions in Boston and nationally. As co-investigators BRC statisticians provide data coordination and analytic support for numerous federal and foundation grants.

The Biostatistics Research Center also provides statistical and research support to clinical investigators through consulting services. Staff in the Center are available to assist investigators in developing grants, database creation and management, handling data, statistical analyses and investigations, and generating papers and reports.
