Winds fairly steady, averaging nearly 14 knots late morning and early afternoon. Picking up around 14:00 with several solid gusts--to 27 kts in the late afternoon (again, </FONT><A HREF="windplot.html#1005"><FONT FACE="Arial, Helvetica, sans serif">wind plots</FONT></A><FONT FACE="Arial, Helvetica, sans serif"> here). A great day for the timing crew as well, with over 210 runs, total.</FONT></P> <P><FONT FACE="Arial, Helvetica, sans serif">This day, Stacey Vass extends his top speed to 27.23, after a total of 20+ runs. Second is Tony Moris (#11), with 26.01. Mike Pierce and James Paine round out the top 4 this day. Fastest craft (non-sailboard) is Bernard Cunin in Loisirs 3000 (#584, below), with 22.59 kts, giving Bernard fifth place for the day. Also showing very good runs in these near-perfect experimental conditions are Torix Bennett on Sea Spider, at 19.04 kts, and Alan Blundell, aboard Variscari (#18. at left).
