wide variety of <a href="experience.htm">museum collections</a>, we have
developed a specific approach for conservation treatment. The approach is as
follows:</p>

</span><![endif]><b><span style='color:blue'>Assess the condition</span></b><span
style='color:blue'> <b>of an object</b></span> by direct inspection; all
objects must be assessed for treatment by viewing the object in person.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><i><span style='color:#3366FF'>No cost estimates
can be given without seeing the object and carrying out specific tests.</span></i>
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Cleveland Conservation offers a
complimentary one half hour consultation in which you may bring your object and
discuss treatment options in a general way. <span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>Objects are also received through art handlers or through
couriers.</p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-right:.5in;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:

is possible in treatment. If you wish leave your object at Cleveland
Conservation, a fee of $40 dollars is requested at that time for initial work
of testing, report writing, treatment proposals and cost estimates. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

style='color:#3366FF'> <b>condition report</b></span>.<span

the conservator and the owner. The report will give an overview of the
condition of the paper-based object.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>It will explain what types of materials are involved and what types of
degradation are proceeding. The types of materials involved may augment or

<p style='margin-right:.5in;margin-left:.5in'>The one-time non-refundable <b>fee</b>
for assessment, including each of the five steps above, is $40 (US) per object.
This fee for initial services is due per object when the paper is left at
Cleveland Conservation of Art on Paper, Inc. </p>
<p style='margin-right:.5in;margin-left:.5in'><b>Note carefully</b>: this fee contributes
toward but <i>does not include</i> the entire fee for treatment. After
assessment, the next step is discussion and approval of the <a
href="proposal.htm">proposal(s)</a>.</p>
