<p><img src="../../white_minimal/html/images/marjoriecostello_140px.jpg" width="140" height="177" align="right" vspace="5" hspace="5">Marjorie Costello has been covering consumer electronics for 20 years. Today, she is recognized by her industry and peers as one of the preeminent consumer electronics journalists and analysts. In 1996, Costello launched the Consumer Electronics Online News (CEON), a subscription-based electronic newsletter, where she serves as editor and publisher. CEON is published by Costello Communications, Inc., based in New York.</p>
<p>CEON's reporting and analysis are based on Marjorie Costello's wide-ranging industry contacts and experience, attendance at many CE press conferences and trade shows, plus participation in selective company briefings in the United States, Japan and Europe.</p>
<p>She is often quoted in the media, including <i>The New York Times</i>, <i>Investor's
Business Daily</i> and CBS radio. CEON's editor serves on the she often moderates panels. Marjorie Costello is also the CE industry's source for its event and trade show datebook through CEON's companion publication, the <b><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">CE Calendar.</font></b></p>
<p>For several years, Marjorie Costello wrote a new media column for <i>Broadcast Engineering</i> and <i>Video Systems</i> magazines. She also traveled through the US on a media tour discussing CE and new technology. Costello was also the editor/publisher of
<i>ON!</i>, the first non-technical publication about Consumer Electronics, and <i>Video PROphiles</i>, covering prosumer and desktop video. Following five years as Editor-in-Chief of professional video publication <i>Videography</i>, she founded Market Tech
Associates, a market research firm specializing in the professional and consumer video industry.</p>
<p>Over the years, Marjorie Costello's reporting on consumer electronics and new technology has appeared in the pages of <i>Omni</i>, <i>Popular Science</i>, and <i>Stereo Review</i>. She also has written several books, including <i>How to Buy and Use Home Video Equipment</i> and <i>Breaking Into Video</i>. CEON's editor/publisher is a graduate of Smith College, where she earned a BA in American Studies. She received an MS in Broadcasting and Film from the School of Public Communication at Boston University.</p>
