<h1>Collaborating to Develop the Future of Biofuels</h1>
<p>DuPont is collaborating with corn crop producers to establish a high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of corn stover for commercial production of cellulosic ethanol. In 2011, we worked closely with 50 central Iowa corn producers, harvest service experts, equipment manufacturers, and Iowa State University to conduct comprehensive research analyzing the collection, transport and storage of this new source of biomass. </p>
<p>The collaboration has already documented several corn production and residue management advantages resulting from a directed partial stover harvest. Additionally, long-term field trials have been initiated to further verify and monitor the results of this innovative program.</p>
<h2><strong>The 2012 Stover Collection Program </strong></h2>
<p>In 2012, DuPont and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, a DuPont business, will continue research but also commence a commercial feedstock harvest with an expanded group of producers to validate our research findings and begin inventorying feedstock for future plant operations. </p>
<p>DuPont and Pioneer are devoted to working with producers to create value across the biomass supply chain. Our shared vision is to provide sustainable solutions to the evolving advanced biofuels market, while creating new opportunities for rural America. </p>
