<h1>Integrated Technology for Second Generation Biofuel Conversion</h1>
<p>Since 2008, we have been developing an integrated solution for the commercial scale production of second generation ethanol from biomass. At our demonstration facility in Vonore, Tennessee, we are bringing together our long-standing expertise in biorefinery design with an optimized technology package of novel enzymes and fermentation organisms, with the following outcomes: </p>

<li>Achieving economic and environmental targets</li>
<li>Produced stover-based ethanol used in many vehicles at the University of Tennessee </li>

<h2>Converting stover to ethanol on a commercial scale<strong> </strong>
</h2>
<p>This optimized conversion process will be deployed in our new <a href="index.html">commercial-scale facility in Nevada, Iowa</a>. With construction scheduled to begin in 2012, this stover-to-ethanol biorefinery will produce more than 27 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol once fully operational. </p>
