<h1>The Bioeconomy Can Contribute to Sustainable Growth</h1>
<p>The bioeconomy challenges the idea that industrial manufacturing must use fossil fuels as raw materials. One of the surest ways to reduce the carbon footprint of industrial production is to use bio-based, renewable sources to replace fossil carbon from beneath the earth's crust. </p>
<p>But we believe the bioeconomy will do more than just contribute to a low carbon society. It will accelerate energy independence, reinvigorate rural economies across the world, and lead to new, green jobs in both advanced and developing economies.</p>
<p>Research and development initiatives have proven that sustainable growth can be achieved with the help of the agricultural industry. We believe that biotechnology can and will replace traditional chemical synthesis, leading to new opportunities for renewable growth and development.</p>
<p>We are now at the dawn of the bioeconomy and we believe that fulfilling its promise will bring sustainable future prosperity and employment. </p>
