<p>Dr. Alka Batycky joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in February 2010 and is responsible for Program and Alliance Management. Dr. Batycky has 15 years experience in drug development including over a decade leading and managing cross-functional teams, programs and alliances. Dr Batycky has developed drugs and devices across a wide range of therapeutic areas including anaphylaxis, anemia, asthma, CNS, dermatology, endocrinology, inflammation, oncology, ophthalmology and pain.</p>
<p>Prior to joining AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Batycky was responsible for leading development programs at CombinatoRx and Synta Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this Dr. Batycky was at Alkermes, where she played several roles including clinical lead for the pulmonary insulin program and Program and Alliance Manager for the AIR technology working with a number of alliance partners including GSK and Eli Lilly.</p>
<p>Dr Batycky received her degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology and subsequently her PhD at the School of Pharmacy, University of London. Dr. Batycky also worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the MRC. </p>

<h3>Senior Vice President, Chief Development and Regulatory Officer</h3>
<p>Steven Caffé, M.D. serves as AMAG’s senior vice president and chief development and regulatory officer. He joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in June 2013 and brings 20 years of experience in global biopharmaceuticals development and regulatory approvals to AMAG. He joins AMAG from MedImmune, AstraZeneca's global biologics research and development arm, where he most recently served as senior vice president of global regulatory affairs and patient safety.
</p>
<p>Dr. Caffé has broad-based industry experience across several therapeutic areas, and in the development of biopharmaceuticals and medical devices. Early in his career, Dr. Caffé served as a medical director for Parke-Davis, before its acquisition by Pfizer, and has since had roles of increasing responsibility at major pharmaceutical companies. Through his experience at Merck & Co., Sanofi, Baxter and most recently MedImmune, Dr. Caffé has assembled and led high-performing teams through many development and regulatory programs, successfully achieving key new product approvals and extending the life cycle of several commercial products. Dr. Caffé received his medical degree from the Faculté de Médecine Saint-Antoine, Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6), completed his internship and residency, and practiced medicine at the academic hospitals of the Assistance Publique de Paris with a focus on emergency and intensive care. </p>

<p>Mr. Heiden is an experienced pharmaceutical and biotechnology executive who joined AMAG in May 2012 as our president and chief executive
officer. Mr. Heiden is also a member of AMAG's board of directors. Mr. Heiden joined AMAG from GTC Biotherapeutics, Inc., where he had served as president and chief executive officer since June 2010. Mr. Heiden has served and will continue to serve as chairman of GTC Biotherapeutics following commencement of his employment with AMAG. Prior to joining GTC Biotherapeutics, Mr. Heiden was the president and chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Elixir Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a pharmaceutical company, from September 2004 until December 2008. </p>
<p>Prior to joining Elixir Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Heiden served as president and chief operating officer of Praecis Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (which was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline plc), from 2002 to 2004. From 1987 to 2002, Mr. Heiden progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility at Schering-Plough Corporation (now Merck & Co.), including managing a number of businesses in the United States, Europe and Canada. Mr. Heiden serves on the board of directors of LFB Biotechnologies S.A.S., a private French biotechnology company. Mr. Heiden holds an M.B.A. from Cornell University's
Johnson Graduate School of Management, a M.I.M. degree from the University of Louvain and a B.A. degree from the University of Florida. </p>

<p>Scott A. Holmes serves as AMAG's Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President and Corporate Controller. Holmes joined the Company in September 2011. In his current position, Mr. Holmes is
primarily responsible for the Company's accounting, financial and tax reporting functions. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Holmes served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of
Molecular Biometrics Inc., a commercial stage medical diagnostics company from June 2010 to September 2011. From August 2009 to June 2010, Mr. Holmes was Vice President of Finance &
Administration of On-Q-ity Inc., an oncology diagnostics company. Prior to On-Q-ity Inc., Mr. Holmes served as a consultant with Altman & Company, a consulting firm, from January 2009 to
August 2009. Prior to 2009, he spent five years at Dynogen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately held pharmaceutical company, where he was Vice President Finance & Administration and
Treasurer. Mr. Holmes also served as the Controller at Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., a publically held biotechnology company. Mr. Holmes holds a dual Master of Science/Masters of
Business Administration degree from Northeastern University Graduate School of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor in History from Middlebury College. </p>

<p>Mr. Madison brings a wealth of hands-on commercial experience and extensive leadership skills to his position of executive vice president and chief commercial officer of AMAG. He joined AMAG from Genzyme Corporation, where he spent 12 years in various commercial roles in their renal division, most recently as the division's vice president and general manager.</p>
<p>Since joining Genzyme in 2000, Mr. Madison developed extensive commercial and general management expertise as he progressed into roles of increasing responsibilities and leadership, culminating in his most recent role as vice president and general manager for the renal division. In this role, Mr. Madison led a global organization with three marketed products in 76 countries and drove top-line growth, with combined revenues exceeding $1 billion. Mr. Madison's prior experience in the division includes serving as vice president and general manager of the U.S. business; vice president of U.S. sales; and vice president of U.S. marketing where he led all pre-launch preparation for Renvela, now the leading phosphate binder in the U.S. market. During his tenure with Genzyme, Mr. Madison also had roles in sales management, training, and managed markets and reimbursement. Prior to joining Genzyme, Mr. Madison spent five years at Jannsen Pharmaceuticals in sales and sales management roles, and began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in sales with Wyeth-Ayerst.</p>
<p>Mr. Madison is an active Board member of, and a member of the Operations Committee with, Kidney Care Partners, a Washington DC based organization that is focused on legislative, regulatory and public policy issues related to patients with CKD. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. </p>

<p>Amy Sullivan serves as AMAG’s vice president of investor relations and corporate communications. She joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in September 2009 and is responsible for the company's investor relations, public relations, and employee communications activities. Ms. Sullivan has nearly two decades of experience working with life science companies at every stage of development, helping organizations position and differentiate their company story in competitive environments. Previous experience includes Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Genencor International, Perkin Elmer and Thermo Fisher.
</p>
<p>Ms. Sullivan holds a Masters in Business Adminstration degree from Bentley University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Salem University. </p>

<p>Frank Thomas joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in August 2011. In November 2011, Mr. Thomas was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer of AMAG.</p>
<p>During his 19-year career, Mr. Thomas has held a variety of senior executive roles in the life sciences industry. From 2008 to 2011, Mr. Thomas served as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Molecular Biometrics, a medical diagnostics company focused on reproductive medicine where he established the company’s manufacturing, distribution and business processes in support of product development and commercialization. Prior to his time with Molecular Biometrics, Mr. Thomas spent four years at Critical Therapeutics, Inc., where he was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer from the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to lead a turnaround effort, refocus the company on new product opportunities and improve operational execution. Mr. Thomas also served on the Board of Directors of Critical Therapeutics until 2008. Prior to 2004, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Esperion Therapeutics, Inc., a development-stage biotechnology company focused on a cardiovascular product. Mr. Thomas’s prior positions include senior director of finance, corporate controller and audit roles with Mechanical Dynamics Inc., and Arthur Anderson LLP from 1992 to 2000, respectively. Since 2007, Mr. Thomas has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council. </p>
<p>Mr. Thomas holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. </p>

<p>Scott B. Townsend joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in August 2012.</p>
<p>During his 20-year career, Mr. Townsend has held a variety of senior legal roles in the life sciences industry. From December 2009 to August 2012, Mr. Townsend founded External GC Law Group and provided legal advice to a variety of life science companies, including biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. From October 2008 to June 2009, Mr. Townsend served as Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary for Cornerstone Therapeutics Inc., a publicly-traded specialty pharmaceutical company. From August 2004 to October 2008, Mr. Townsend served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Critical Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly-traded biopharmaceutical company. From August 2000 to August 2004, Mr. Townsend was a Junior Partner in the Corporate Department at Hale and Dorr LLP (now Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP). Prior to joining Hale and Dorr, Mr. Townsend served as a corporate lawyer at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, MA and Kilpatrick Stockton LLP in North Carolina. While in private practice, Mr. Townsend advised private and public life sciences and technology companies on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture financings and public offerings. </p>
<p>Mr. Townsend received his J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law and his A.B. magna cum laude from Bowdoin College with a double-major in Economics and Government and Legal Studies. </p>

<p>Chris White joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in September 2007 as Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Planning and was named AMAG’s Chief Business Officer in November 2011.</p>
<p>Mr. White has over 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry including strategic planning, management consulting, and marketing and sales. Mr. White will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating and executing business development opportunities, and leading corporate planning activities. Prior to joining AMAG, Mr. White was a Partner in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Products (PMP) Practice at Accenture. Prior to Accenture, he was a Vice President and Partner in the Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Practice at A.T. Kearney, Inc. Previously Mr. White held positions of increasing responsibility at Arthur D. Little, Merck and Du Pont.</p>
<p>Mr. White holds an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.</p>
