<h1>About ABS </h1>
<p>The Abt Bio-Pharma Solutions team has provided integrated strategic, research, and communications services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics industries for 25 years.</p>
<p>Our parent company, <a href="http://www.abtassociates.com">Abt Associates Inc.,</a> is one of the largest research and consulting firms in the world, applying scientific expertise to a wide range of health, economic, social, environmental, and technological policy issues. Founded in 1965, Abt Associates has annual revenue in excess of $200 million and a staff of more than 1,000, including national and international experts who are recognized for their knowledge, innovative research techniques, and insightful analyses and recommendations.</p>
<p>In the early 1980s, Abt Associates' staff of biostatisticians, clinicians, health economists, and strategic consultants began designing, analyzing, and reporting on clinical trials for a broad variety of drugs and devices covering many therapeutic areas. Over the next decade, our services for commercial sponsors grew to include registries and other real world studies designed to evaluate safety, efficacy, economic, patient compliance, and health-related quality-of-life factors.</p>
<p>The Abt Associates Clinical Trials (AACT) division was created in 1997, combining capabilities in biostatistics, data management, epidemiology, and clinical trials management. To help sponsors demonstrate product value in a competitive global marketplace, our Health Economic Research and Quality of Life Evaluation Services (HERQuLES) team was established and became a leader in collecting and analyzing data on the use of healthcare products and services and on their clinical, economic, quality of life, and satisfaction outcomes. In recent years, AACT expanded capabilities to include pricing and reimbursement and marketing consulting and research services, employing a cross-functional matrixed approach ideally suited for our clients' multifaceted needs.</p>
<p>In April 2008, AACT was renamed Abt Bio-Pharma Solutions and established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Abt Associates. Our new name reflects the full range of custom services we provide to sponsors globally. The ABS team continues Abt Associates' 40-year history of commitment to providing knowledge, delivering insight, and improving world health.</p>
